WELCOME to the 2007 Wild West Challenge-
After 6 years without the famous and highly challenged basketball competition 'The Wild West Challenge', the FWAS, DSR and Basketball NSW are working together to revive the competition in the Far West.
The Wild West Challenge in the past has been well known for its large number of teamn entrants, display of highly talented basketball players and its fierce rivalries between western towns.
What is the Wild West Challenge?
The Wild West Challenge is a basketball competition held in the Far West in order to allow participants from remote towns throughout the Far West to come together at central venues and play several games of basketball in a round robin format.
As part of the Wild West Challenge we are also looking to identify talented basketball players who would make up a Tour Development Basketball Squad. In re-launching the Wild West Challenge we are looking to raise the profile of basketball in the Far West area in order to develop more competition and perhaps establish basketball associations over a wide area.
