Thank you to all NSW athletes and coaches who participated in the U/14 & U/15 BNSW Waratah Junior Development Program All Star Camps. The camps were very successful. Feedback to BNSW from participants has been very positive and it seems clear that athletes both enjoyed themselves and took advantage of the opportunity to learn and to improve their basketball.
During these camps athlete identification processes were completed. Basketball NSW will use the information collected during the camps to prepare lists of identified athletes to be invited to the U/14 and U/15 TAP camps in 2007. A few athletes who were unable to attend the All Star camps and who applied to BNSW for, and were approved for, special consideration may also be included by BNSW in the identification process. It is expected that these invitation lists will be published on the BNSW web site during June, 2007.
This year, the additional advance notification time over previous years should give invited athletes plenty of time to plan their availability to attend the camps. However, despite the earlier publication of invitee lists, athletes may not receive their letter of invitation and application forms from the Sydney Academy of Sport until considerably closer to the camp dates.
The U14 TAP Camp will be conducted at the Sydney Academy of Sport, Narrabeen from Tuesday 23 to Friday 26 October, 2007 inclusive.
The U15 TAP Camp will be conducted at the Sydney Academy of Sport, Narrabeen from Tuesday 18 to Friday 21 September, 2007 inclusive.
