In Country and Metropolitan Venues throughout New South Wales, one day development camps are conducted for U/13 age group players (boys and girls). These camps are conducted by Basketball New South Wales staff and/or appointed program coaches, with players being provided with both skills development and game play development during the day. These camps are participation based only, with no identification or selection components leading to any further stages of this program.
Sunday 13th July - Central Coast Youth Club
Sunday 31st August - Bankstown Basketball Stadium
At these venues both country and metropolitan players are welcome.
From these one day development camps, athletes are invited to participate in City V Country Pre Games (curtain raiser games) before the main NBL / WNBL games. In February 2008, boys participated in a pre-game before the Sydney Kings V Wollongong Hawks game at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, and girls participated in a pre-game before the Sydney University Flames V Adelaide Lightning game at the Sydney University Sports & Aquatic Centre.
BNSW Coaching Department Staff Head Coach these One Day Camps, with Association Representative Team Coaches, club and school coaches are encouraged to participate as floor and senior coaches, depending on their experience.
