A coach clinic is held before the camp to enable coaches to "run through" the curriculum, and establish the best way to conduct and teach, to ensure all coaches are involved in the player skills session and afternoon games.

The first half of the player skills session is designed to effectively teach two or three skills very well, with complex skills (e.g. correct lay up technique) broken down and taught simply.

The second half of the player skills session usually covers team concepts (e.g. fast break situations, defensive transition and 1/2 court team play).

A referees clinic containing both theory and practical on court components is conducted, with the presenter also coaching referees on court during games.

A score bench course is also conducted for people interested in learning how to to run the bench and undertake scoring duties, and during the afternoon games they can then to apply their newly learnt skills.

After the lunch break teams are formed, taking into consideration the number of players, and if the teams need to be mixed, or if boys and girls can play in their own 'pool' games.

Games are can be any where from 15 to 20 minutes in length, consisting of 2 halves, and played in either 20 or 30 minute time slots.

Coaches actively coach on the actual court during games, with the referees coach also on court assisting referees with their officiating.

In time outs and at half time, both teams on each court huddle together for coaches to provide all players with their expertise, and during games teams are rotated on different courts enabling all players to be coached by all of the camp coaches.
