BNSW CAC members are appointed for one year membership terms by the Board of Basketball NSW. They are appointed from the group of appropriate, approved coaches who submit applications for consideration for membership by the advertised closing date each year.
- The BNSW CAC provides advice to Basketball NSW on matters related to basketball coaching.
- The BNSW CAC may be involved in the mediation and resolution of disputes involving coaching matters and BNSW.
- Provides a delegate to the BNSW Operations and Management Committee representing coaching on the OMC
- Selects the members of the Selection Panels that make recommendations to BNSW for the positions of State Team Head Coaches
BNSW CAC Members Must:
- Be at least Current Level 2 NCAS Basketball Coaching Accredited.
- Be a registered member of BNSW
- Be prepared to attend CAC meetings in Sydney at BNSW Office
- Be approved and appointed by the Board of BNSW
- Be prepared to have a “Prohibited Persons” check conducted on them by BNSW under the “Child Protection and Intervention Act 1998”.
The BNSW CAC is made Up of the Following Nine Persons:
- Three coaches representing Country NSW
- Three Coaches representing Metropolitan NSW
- The Head Coach of NSW Institute of Sport Basketball Program
- The Head Coach ITC Program in NSW
- The BNSW Manager Player/Coach Education
